ŇIf you're not making mistakes, then you're not doing anything.

I'm positive that a doer makes mistakes.Ó

--John Wooden

Aloha,

The holidayseason is upon us, and everyone is busy. That Ôs OK and normal. Just donŐt let life beat you up. One of the mostdifficult things to do in our society is to establish routines. This isimportant in almost every endeavor that you wish to pursue. You need to laydown some sort of routine.  Ibelieve setting up, and sticking to a regular practice routine is harder thanpracticing itself.  I can guaranteethat if you are not practicing at all you will NOT become better.   DonŐt forget the number one rule.DonŐt beat yourself up.

Life andother people will do that for you. You donŐt need to do it to yourself. Let the20 minutes a day, that you practice the ukulele be YOUR time. Let it be thetime were you can forget the worldŐs problems, and other petty issues that youdeal with everyday and focus on YOUR happiness.

Thesetwenty minutes that you reserve for yourself will liberate you in a way.Everyone has a right to do this.  Isincerely believe, if you donŐt do something for yourself on a regular basis. You wonŐt be able to help others either. These twenty minutes changes your attitude and your personal outlook. You see progress. You see the results of your hard work.   You grow and understand that youcan change, and you have some control in this world.

What happens next is amazing. Your attitude changes, yourenergy level increases. You find yourself doing more things, and meeting newpeople, and your life becomes richer and fuller.

Thismusical skill building (ukulele playing) creates a positive attitude. ŇA positiveattitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. Itis a catalyst and it sparks extraordinary results.Ó  --W. Boggs

Inconclusion, donŐt beat yourself up. Reserve some time to practice for yourself(20 minutes). Second, Give yourself some time establishing a routine. A stablehealthy routine can take a month, or so to establish. Soon, you will find asmoother rhythm in your life.
