"When we do the best that we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another. "

Helen Keller

Aloha,

Life has been busy, and ukulele life is now in full swing for the Nui `Ukulele Club.  The new meeting schedule has been posted on the web site. Tuesday nights will be at Sheridan Park, and Sundays will be at 1077 W. Polk. All times are such that they do not conflict with any Bears games, so no excuses about Bear game/uke meeting time conflicts. I am extending the oreintation meeting to part of the next two meetings. I have not formally adopted/enforced any participation rules yet. But, I will be in next session in January.

I am trying to facilitate a free classical music concert for some sick kids. I am in the initial stages and need some key people to sign up for the idea and format. My hope is to help these very sick kids. Music is not just for peoples joy, but can help everyone cope with their pain. I would love to have people understand the power music has to healing people. If you would like to participate, please email nuiukulele@pobox.com. If you are advanced classical music player, you can participate in this concert, please email nuiukulele@pobox.com with your musical bio information.

Second, I am involved to formulating and developing a education program that help kids learn other academic studies with ukulele music. If you are interested in participating, please contact tpensel@pobox.com.
